Imagine a small
island of full contrasts and variety
forwards... with a Flora and a Fauna a
paradies resembles itself: Réunion,
a small island in the Indian Ozen between
Mauritius and Madagascar. With the most
active volcano of the Indian ocean (one
the most active worldwide), overwhelming
mountains to over 3000 m, jungles,
steppes, inviting beaches, palm forests,
desert regions, moon landscapes... in
addition, culturally it is pluripotent on
Réunion: because an historically
diverse settling of most diverse peoples
and races is reflected again: European,
Chinese, Indians,... If from the minorett
the prayer one calls, french wine served
to Indian peppered chinese meals, if
indian markets offer african art
treasures, then one is served on a place
that its resembling probably searches. If
one must bear this variety then at the
best with the friendly creoles, they still
know to arrange familaere and merry
invitations.
But
appearance-end paradies has his shade
sides: Unemployment, alcoholism, drug
consumption, thefts, high illiterate rate,
etc.. The immense progress was not borne;
before 30 years (!) there was neither
electric current, schools, roads still
medical supply. By the change of the
status to a DOM, overseas department of
France, also rapidly changed the way of
life of the creoles: cars, motorways, by
the way the most expensive of the world
(!), hospitals, gigantic shopping centres
after western model, satellite dishes,
mobile telephones, etc...
